I just created 'my vision' board on my Pinterest recently. Dreams are so much fun when you can see and picture it! One of the pictures in that folder is a picture I took of Trafique, a coffee shop + coworking space that just opened recently.

Ever since I started Female Daily, I've always told myself and everyone in the office I want us to have our own building. I've been told that 'Mimpinya jauh amat, Han'. But I believe if your dreams don't scare you, they are not big enough. Trust me, putting all the pictures in that 'my vision' folder gave me chills, but I gotta start somewhere and be as specific as possible.

I don't have details on how many floors our own office gonna have, but I know for sure that there will be a warm and inviting open area with a coffee bar in the first floor. Seating arrangement will be plenty for the team to take a break, or to work alone or with a group. It's the place where we hold our regular events and gatherings. Of course, it will also be open for Female Daily & Mommies Daily Community as well as for public as we are aiming for a collaborative community.



When will this dream come true? I don't know. I may not there yet, but I'm closer to achieving it now than I was 4 years ago.

Waktu lagi di jalan pulang ke rumah sama anak-anak, mobil kita papasan dengan mobil lain. Karena jalannya sempit dan ada yang parkir sembarangan, lewatnya harus gantian. Oki kasih jalan untuk mobil itu lewat duluan dan setelah mobil itu lewat, baru mobil kita jalan. Trus tau-tau Jehan nyeletuk..

"Kok, orangnya nggak bilang terima kasih, sih?"
"Terima kasih gimana, Je?"
"Iyaa..biasanya kan kalo abis dikasih jalan, Diddy suka dadahin orang yang nyetir mobilnya, atau kasih klakson. Kok dia diam aja?"

Didn't realize that kids notice the small detail like that. Gotta be extra careful arounds kids, make sure we do things we want them to do, or don't do things we don't want them to do. I think all parents should thanks their kids for we are a better person because of them.

I went for a morning jog today at the Car Free Day, and as usual, I waited for Oki at Starbucks. I was planning to do some work but when I just opened my laptop, someone just sat on the table next to me and stroke a conversation about our twin laptop.

So we talked for quite a while. One topic led to another and we ended up talking about Female Daily Network :). I showed him the websites and he asked a lot of questions about the business, the team, how it all started and everything. He listened to my story with enthusiasm, he looked genuinely happy and excited for me. He gave me compliments a few times and told me I had found an unbelievable niche, 'there's a lot you can do with women and the business of making them feel and look beautiful', he said. He looked at me in the eye and told me that I will be very very successful in the future. When he finished his coffee, he said he wanted to wish me luck but he said he knows I won't need any more luck :).

Wow, what a nice encounter with a stranger  named Robert who comes all the way from Chicago for a short visit in Jakarta. He seemed to know that any entrepreneurs can appreciate a pat in the back once a in a while. I didn't get a chance to do any work at all, but I walked out all smiles and was touched by the kindness :).
